Since the release of his first Cantonese song, 'Sorrowful Autumn Wind' in 1973, Big Brother De has never stopped singing, steadfastly touching countless fans with his voice for over fifty years.

With a hairstyle resembling that of the British pop star Cliff Richard, Chen Haode earned the nickname 'Hong Kong Golden Boy'. He rose to fame with the duet 'Cu Fu Hua Er Mo Xian Fan (Fen Fei Yan)' with Yan Sau Yee, and subsequently released numerous popular hits such as 'Jing Cao Jiao Hua', 'Chun Hua Qiu Yue', 'Yue Shi Gu Xiang Ming', 'Chan Yuan Zhong Sheng', and 'Chang Yin Zai Jin Xiao'. He became a significant figure in the 1970s Cantonese pop music scene, releasing over ten Cantonese albums in just three years, consistently achieving gold record sales.

With the rise of the retro trend, the classic works of 'Hong Kong Golden Boy' have been rediscovered by the new generation, and Big Brother De has naturally become the 'Golden Melody Golden Boy', recognized as one of the essential original singers of 'Golden Classic Melodies'.
